Funto Akinbisehin is an  IT professional with vast experience within the financial, telecommunication, Health, Ecommerce industries focusing on all aspects of product development and management.

She is a graduate of Economics from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. And MSc Computing from the University of Buckingham UK. It was while she was doing this program that her love for IT and everything Internet became solidified. She also holds an MBA from the University of Bradford UK and is a certified digital marketing professional.

She works as a Senior Product Owner at a Nigerian based NGO, she is working with the State Government to build a platform to facilitate improved communication and information flow across all levels of the State health care system, with the goal of increasing coverage of health services across target populations. She is also working with the state to build an elearning platform to aid training and development for front line health workers.

She worked as the the Head of Product Development, at a Fintech startup where she was responsible for developing the electronic billing, invoicing, payments platform.

She also worked with an online shopping as a VP, Product Management. She worked with her team to build a marketplace seller platform and mobile application that warehouses active sellers with physical and digital products, which has helped keep the company’s strong current position and ensured their future growth.

She has been involved in managing complex projects, research & analysis, stakeholder engagement, and has worked on various projects across a number of organizations in Nigeria and United Kingdom. During the course of her career, she has also worked remotely and cross-functionally with developers/engineers as well as with Project Managers and Business Analysts.

In 2016, she started and manages a Slack Group with a focus on development of Product Management in Africa. The aim is to build a networking and learning opportunity for our community of Product Managers in different industries. It will also bring together top talents to share knowledge and elevate digital product innovation in Africa.

She is a co-founder and Trustee of KHAN Regenesis and In her capacity as KHAN Regenesis’s Program/Product Manager, she brings her IT knowledge and skills to bear towards ensuring that the company website is top-notch.
